Camp History
The camp is one of the former home base sites for the Cherokee Indians. The camp was purchased in 1959, and the first camp was held in 1960. The first cabins were built in 1962. Many additions took place through the following years. A swimming pool was added in 1986. Since 2000, the camp has undergone some major renovations such as new cabins, new chapel, new store, new 18 hole Disc Golf course, updating the gym and replacing our high dive with a water slide.

Camp Programs and Special Features
We run an excellent ACA accredited summer program for youth and families and serve as a retreat and conference center year round. During the summer months we offer Staff-in-Training Week, two Junior Camps, Teen camp, two Family Camps, Cub-Adventurer Camp, Teen Survival Camp, Lifeguarding Camp, Teen Adventure Camp and Blind Camp. Ken Wetmore has a Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership and has served at many camps. He has been our Summer Camp Director for the past 3 years. Herb White has served as our Camp Manager for the past 27 years. He would be the person to contact for all of your retreat and conference bookings.

Indian Creek Camp’s summer programs are far more than a fun week away from home. Yes, you will have fun at our pool, on our horses, skiing on our massive lake, and at all the other awesome activities. However, ICC’s main purpose is to develop relationships with each other and our Creator. You’ll hear us talk a lot about family at ICC. When you come here, you become a part of the ICC family. As a family that centers itself on God and His word, we seek to encourage each other to a deeper relationship with God through all of our activities and programs at ICC.

Camp Mission
Family Mission Statement: We are family. We live our values. We show campers Jesus’ love and invite them to join God’s family.
