Camp History
Camp Kulaqua was purchased in 1953 and now includes over 600 acres of property. Originally started as a summer camp, Kulaqua is now a year-round facility hosting over 40,000 people annually. We are affiliated with Christian Camping International, the Christian Horsemanship Association, the American Camping Association, and the Adventist Association of Camping Professionals. ACA Certified.

Information on Property and Camp Facilities
Camp Kulaqua can house 600 people with a variety of housing facilities, including tent and RV sites, rustic cabins, mini-lodges, and family chalet units (fully decorated, furnished, and with kitchen facilities). Four meeting facilities accommodate 50-1,000 people in group settings. Nine conference rooms hold up to 60 people each. Activities include horseback riding, softball, volleyball, basketball, and tennis courts, a 72-degree, crystal-clear spring for swimming, shuffleboard, horseshoes, canoeing, low-elements challenge course, and a miniature golf course. We also offer Conestoga wagon, Indian tepee, and miners' camps. Our cafeteria seats 600 people. We have an amphitheater and nature boardwalk. We can do hayrides for 200 people and have a special wagon equipped for handicapped campers.

STILLWATERS LODGE: In addition to the camp facilities mentioned above, we are now offering Still waters Lodge (the lodge will sleep 28 comfortably), a beautifully appointed meeting facility for church planning committees, conference or hospital boards and business executives. The lodge is also aperfect setting for weddings, wedding receptions and family reunions. Stillwaters Lodge, built in grand lodge architecture, adjacent to Camp Kulaqua, features nine bedrooms with phones in each room allowing for internet connection, seven bathrooms, Jacuzzi/ hot tub in master suite, with fresh towels provided daily. Cable TV/VCR in common areas. plus 3 fireplaces, and board games provided for your enjoyment. Each morning Continental Breakfast is served to our overnight guests who might choose to sit on the lovely screened back porch where they can observe deer grazing squirrels playing and wild turkey feeding. The back porch wil! seal 12comfortably and our spacious Dining Room will accommodate 32 (The Dining Room is also available for meetings if needed). Stillwaters Lodge has a Conference Room that boasts a table to seat 16, a built in dry erase board with (flip chart, projector screen pins a fax machine is available for your convenience. Canoeing, sand volleyball court, horseshoes, and a screened gazebo with a group-size hot tub are al! part of the Stillwaters Lodge experience.

KULAQUA'S RIVER RANCH: Step through the beautiful black iron gates with the striking sign that lias two magnificent horse heads and you will see a backdrop 75 feet long of gallopinghorses, swaying palm irees, flying sea gulls and a rising surf. Welcome to our new water park. Kiilaqua's River Ranch. The water park features an unbelievable 15,000 sq. foot wave poolwith a fun kiddy play area, an incredible 600-foot lazy river including a surprise water tower, plus a 90-foot water slide for kids of all ages. River Ranch has a tug-o-war pit, picnic areas with shade tents, lockers and restrooms with showers, a large stage for lawn concerts, limbo lane, beach volleyball, and a nice concession stand with patio dining.

Camp Programs and Special Features
Camp Kulaqua offers retreats and camping facilities to accommodate conference and non-conference groups. The camp also runs senior citizens' camp, family camps, outdoor education camps, summer camps, and Bible conferences, with complete packages for spring break/senior class trips. We offer a fully-licensed operating zoo and nature center program, with over 45 species on exhibit; this is one of the few places that campers can get an honor in Zoo Management. Our horsemanship program is one of the few that operates year-round. Our rodeo program and facilities are second to none. We also offer a paved, professionally-run go-cart track and a 3000-foot airstrip. We are proud to have the fourth oldest cypress tree (over 2,600 years) in the United States.

Directions to Camp
Camp Kulaqua is located on Highway 441, in north-central Florida, five miles off of I-75, twenty miles north of Gainesville, or one mile north of High Springs. The camp is two hours from the Central Florida attractions and the beaches.
