Camp History
Camp Waianae opened in the late 1960s with the help and fund-raising efforts of the local churches. Seven churches donated funds entirely for the cabins. Thus, we have seven cabins with the names of seven churches.

Information on Property and Camp Facilities
Located on the beautiful island of Oahu, Camp Waianae is three miles from the white sandy beaches of the western Waianae coast, and is nestled at the foot of Mount Ka'ala. The camp is open year-round, with summer camp operating during the summer months. It contains nearly 17 acres, seven cabins, a shared bath facility, and one kitchen/lodge for meetings. Each cabin houses approximately 18 people. Tent camping is available as well. A midsize cafeteria and meeting hall seat up to 200 people. Recreational facilities include a swimming pool, go-carts, hiking, surfing, wind surfing, and other beach activities.

Camp Programs and Special Features
Summer camp at Camp Waianae currently only includes Blind Camp sponsored by Christian Record Braille and a Hawaii Experience Camp. Campers are able to enjoy all the activities listed above, plus many more.
