Camp History
Eleven acres were purchased in the early 1940s for $100/acre. The camp has several original buildings still in use. Camp Ida-Haven first began full-year service in the early 1980s. Of the 20 camps in Valley County, ours is the most used by community groups due to its location and the improvements to our facilities. Camp Ida-Haven is owned by the Idaho Conference.Information on Property and Camp Facilities
The main lodge has 20 rooms for individual or family units. Bathrooms are shared community facilities down the hall. The Pathfinder lodge sleeps 30 people and has cooking and bath facilities shared by all. The guest house is our only facility fully stocked with linens, towels, dishes, and utensils. This building sleeps five. The eight new cabins sleep a maximum of 14 people and have pellet stopes for winter heat. Each cabin has two bathrooms.
Camp Programs and Special Features
With 800 feet of waterfront on a 5,000 acre lake, our waterfront programs are a draw. We also have a challenge course, whitewater rafting, horses, crafts, drama, basketball, volleyball, camp cooking, archery, mini golf, and a great staff! Our staff lounge is open to guests during the winter season so they may enjoy the use of the pool table, foosball, and ping pong. We are proud of the small hominess of our camp and program, and we get to know our staff and campers well.
