Camp History
The original land was purchased in 1970. Several acres have been added through the years to make a total of 422 acres.  The camp is located on Tuttle Creek Lake near Manhattan, Kansas. It has been said that this area has the only sandy beach in Kansas. The camp was built primarily by conference personnel (pastors and office staff) and lay members.

Information on Property and Camp Facilities
The camp has eleven cabins, each housing seven to nine campers and a counselor. Each cabin has a shower and a restroom. There is a lodge containing a large dining room, kitchen, four staff rooms with two bath-rooms, rec room and stove. There is a staff cabin, nature and craft building, restroom facilities for camp visitors, a shop, ranger's home, horse barn, covered pavilion for camp activities, an office, pool and a medical building.

Camp Programs and Special Features
Camping season usually starts in early June and runs through mid-July. Recent years have provided camps for single moms and kids, Adventure Camp (Ages 7-9), Junior Camp 1 & 2 (Ages 10-12), Teen Camp 1 & 2 (Ages 13-17) and Family Camp. The camp is used on weekends by different groups during good weather from mid-April through mid-October. Most groups are church groups, family reunions, academy students, and staff. There are facilities for horseback riding, skiing, swimming, sailing, hiking, archery, go-karts, zip lining and crafts.

Camp Philosophy
Over the past few years Broken Arrow Ranch has implemented programming that involves the camper in the weekly theme from the moment they are brought onto the campground until the day they leave.  This year's theme, The Case of Sherlock Holmes and the Man on the Cross takes campers through an interactive journey to find out 'who dunnit'.  The guessing continues until the very end.  You won't want to miss this unforgettable week!
