Book shares hope for hurting teens
Helping kids who come from rough backgrounds can be a challenge. Author Emily Parke Chase, who speaks to thousands of teens annually, shares insights in Help! My Family's Messed Up (Kregel, 2008). The book is targeted to teens but may be helpful to gain insights into their world or as a book to recommend. Using modern-day and biblical accounts, Chase addresses family situations that can be traumatic for campers, including divorce, adoption, addiction, abuse, and death. She offers guidance for teenagers, pointing to God as hope for healing in even the worst situations. Check it out or order a copy online.
