Camp History
Camp Berkshire, a former country club, is located in the beautiful hills of upstate New York, just 80 miles from New York City. It was purchased in April of 1963 by the Greater New York Conference under the administration of Eric Jones. The camp has seen many changes since the early years and remains a blessing and haven of rest for those in New York City, as well as those from the surrounding areas.

Information on Property and Camp Facilities
Camp Berkshire is a year-round facility, with summer capacity for 400 persons and winter capacity for 220persons. It has two lodge with a total of 38 room, Twelve motels with kitchens and private bath are available all year. Additional seasonal cabins are also available (family cabins with private baths (some with kitchen), dorm-style cabins with private & shared baths. There are 27 RV sites, as well as designated tents pads, both with and without hookups, bath house and heated pool. Recreation includes swimming, boating, softball, basketball, volleyball, and 285 acres of wooded hiking trails. The main auditorium seats 1,600, and sevens  meeting rooms are also available.

Camp Programs and Special Features
Camp Berkshire hosts up to six different language campmeetings throughout the year, as well as a United campmeeting, youth camp, family camp, and spiritual retreats. We also host many training seminars and special events for the Greater New York Conference, individual churches, schools and youth groups.

Directions to Camp
From New York City: Take 87 north (Major Deegan Expressway) to Cross County Parkway East. Take Cross County Pkwy. to Hutchinson River Pkwy North to 684.* Go North on 684 as far as you can (approx. 25 miles). After you cross I-84, it turns into NY22. Continue on 22N approx. 20 miles to Wingdale. In Wingdale, pass the train station on left and bear right onto NY55 East. After a short distance, go down the hill and keep straight ahead  on what is now Route 6 (Dutchess County). This is a winding road, but keep straight for about a mile. Pass the bus garage and immediately turn right onto Reagans Mill Road. Cross a bridge and continue up the hill. Follow the road as it curves left and becomes Berkshire Road. Continue on this road until you see the camp.

From Queens and Long Island: Take Whitestone Bridge (toll), then take Hutchinson River Parkway (on the left side) to 684 (Brewster) going north. Follow the directions from the asterisk (*) above.OR: Take Throgs Neck Bridge (toll), then take I-95 north. At Exit 21, take 287 West (across Westchester Expressway) to 684 (Brewster) going north.  Follow directions from the asterisk (*) above.
