![]() Camp History The camp is one of the former homebase sites for the Cherokee Indians. The camp was purchased in 1959, and the first camp was held in 1960. The first cabins were built in 1962. Many additions took place through the following years. A swimming pool was added in 1986. The camp is currently in the process of major renovation, with new cabins completed in 2000-2001. Information on Property and Camp Facilities Indian Creek Youth Camp is situated on a lake with 700 miles of shoreline. We have cabins, guest rooms, an RV parking area, chapel, cafeteria, and gym. Recreational activities include waterskiing, hiking, horse trails, and a swimming pool (seasonal). Camp Programs and Special Features We offer Cub, Junior, Teen, Family, 50+, and Blind camps. The camp may be rented year round for up to 250 persons in a group. Camp Mision Current camp info goes here. Directions to Camp From Nashville, take I-40 east (toward Knoxville). Take Exit 258 at Gordonsville. Turn right and go south on Highway 264 (approximately 11 miles). This deadends at Highway 96. Cross 96 at the Indian Creek Camp sign and follow the road three miles to the camp.
