Cohutta Springs Youth Camp Christian Camps & Conference Assocation Camp Calendar
Camp History Cohutta Springs was purchased in 1971 and started summer camp operations in 1979. In 1984, the Conference Center was opened. Information on Property and Camp Facilities Cohutta Springs Convention Center and Youth Camp is located on 725 acres in the northwest Georgia Mountains. It is surrounded by 6,000 acres of national forests and 30,000 acres of wilderness area. The Convention Center includes 82 motel rooms including 2 jacuzzi suites (king and queen beds, color TV, private bath, air conditioning). The lodge is complete with a beautiful dining room, 500-seat auditorium, and 9 meeting rooms. The Youth Camp includes 12 cabins, a cafeteria/dining room, and a gymnasium which can hold 400 people. The recreational facilities include a 55-acre lake for boating, waterskiing, canoeing, a swimming pool, horseback riding, tennis courts, basketball/volleyball courts, ball field, hiking trails, horseshoes, shuffleboard, hayrides, outpost camping area with three cabins, and picnic areas. Overlooking the lake are two chalets that will house from a couple up to 16 people. They are fully furnished and are a great place to get away. Camp Programs and Special Features Cohutta Springs Outdoor School is a residential program designed to educate people (or young at heart) about God's second book. It serves the students of the Seventh-day Adventist education network, public schools, home schools, etc. The curriculum can be varied to meet the needs of the individual students and schools. Cohutta Springs also offers a certified ropes course. Adventure-based activities include conoeing, caving, backpacking, rappelling, horsebackriding, back packing, white water rafting, and many more. Camp Mission Current camp info goes here. Directions to Camp From I-75 in Dalton, Georgia, take exit 333 (Walnut Avenue, Highway 52) and proceed east to Highway 411 in Chatsworth. Go north on 411, and four miles beyond Eton, turn right at the camp sign. The camp is located one mile east of 411. From eastern Tennessee, go south on Highway 411. Seven miles from the Tennessee/Georgia state line, turn left at the camp sign. The camp is located one mile east of Highway 411. Cohutta Springs is one and a half hours from the Atlanta airport and one hour south of the Chattanooga Airport.
