Camp History The camp property was purchased in 1949 by the Colorado Conference. In 1974, a 48-bed hotel was constructed; it was remodeled in 1996. The camp has been ACA accredited since 1989. Information on Property and Camp Facilities The camp is located in the Colorado Rocky Mountains at 9,000' elevation. The property includes a 10-acre lake and more than 600 acres of rugged nature with spectacular views. The lodge has 48 rooms with private baths. Twenty cabins are also available. A spacious auditorium seats 500 people, and there are meeting rooms in the main lodge. The dining room seats 200. Camp Programs and Special Features Camp activities include archery, horses, mountain biking, jeeping, ropes courses, an indoor swimming pool, rappelling, canoeing, a 14,000' peak hike, Bible study, photography, campcraft, survival and backpacking outposts, mountain boarding team sports, Crafts, and ceramics. Camp Mission Current camp info goes here. Directions to Camp Take I-25 north from Denver to the U.S. 36 exit and continue to Boulder. Go through Boulder and continue for 5 miles north of town. Turn left on Left Hand Canyon Road just past a highway sign that says "Ward and Jamestown." Continue for 14 miles, ignoring road name changes and not turning left. Continue past Jamestown for approximately 6 miles (part of the 14 miles) until you see the Glacier View Ranch sign on the right. Travel one half mile to the lodge. The longer, more scenic route is through Lyons. Take I-25 north from Denver to the Colorado 66 exit. Go west on Colorado 66 to Lyons. Take Colorado 7 south from Raymond through Peaceful Valley, about four miles to the Jamestown sign on the left. Turn left on the unpaved road and go about one mile to the camp entrance. Travel one half mile to the lodge.
