 Woody Acres Camp
Camp History  Camp Woody Acres has been in existence since the mid 1960's. Fifty acres of crown land was received from the government of Newfoundland. Information on Property and Camp Facilities The camp is open for part of the summer. There is no conference centre; however, plans are underway to construct a new youth building. A new dining hall was completed in 2001. Camp Programs and Special Features Program includes Junior Camp and plans are underway for a Blind Camp. The camp is situated on beautiful Southwest Pond. Directions to Camp Located at Southwest Pond, Trans Canada Highway, 42 kilometers west of St. John's, 3 kilometers east of Salmonier Line, Route 90, and approxi-mately 1 1/2 km east of Avondale Overpass, Route 63. It is only accessible from the eastbound lane.
